The b-i-l tried to deal with Bushnell on a warranty issue and was thoroughly choked by the time it took and the manner they handled it. He will no longer have anything to do with them.
Zeiss are good and have good service, but they make their scopes in batches and customers have had to wait up to a year for their scope or its replacement.
Leupold optics are possibly not quite up to the money we are charged, but they are quite satisfactory. What sold me is warranty and fast service. You can drive over the scope with your truck and they replace it, no questions asked. Odds are you will be back in the field well before the season is over.
I have a VX-II on my .270 and a low power VX-III on the .375 H&H.
There's too much paperwork for the US dealers so they don't want to ship scopes out of the country, but if you drive south and buy one there is no problem bringing it across the border. My buddy just came back with a scope for his new .35 Whelen that he bought on sale at Cabela's.
