Leupold VX3i with CDS

I don't know about the VX-3i, but I have a VX-3 (3.5-10x50) with the cds. I didn't really want the cds, but it was all they had in stock to exchange for the one I returned without cds...lens was a dud from factory. Anyway, I ordered a dial for the ammo I shoot, and although I haven't actually tried it at any distance, I can say it returns to its zero perfectly. I have cranked it all the way out to 500 yards and back to 100 a bunch of times at the range, and it always stays dead on.

Had/still have several of the VX3s with the CDS including 4.5-14s. The good part is that they track, the bad part is that they push the limit of how far a non parallax adjustable scope can be stretched, and likewise the practical limits of LR shooting without a windage knob. Chances are most typical and even most abnormal hunters will never know the difference.

I've reset the parallax to 300 on a few of them, and that eased up the wayward crosshair syndrome at 700. Also have some S2 dials coming for user install . For some reason Korth isn't bringing them into Canada. A better solution for me is a side focus on an LR. For others a fixed parallax is fine.
