Anybody have any opinions on this scope? Going on a XCR-L 223, mostly target shooting and maybe a coyote hunt. Thanks ...Brian

They are nice but I would suggest you also have a look at the Sightron 1-7x24 before making your decision. For just under $1000 I would put it up against the Leupold in glass quality and in turret tracking. Also has lifetime warranty.
Call Jerry at Mystic Precision for more details. The Sightron 1-7 will be my next scope, I have an SIII 6-24x50 and it's close to the same optical clarity and definition as my Nightforce 5.5-22x56

I have looked at it , and it do appear to be good clear glass but I don't like the fact that it's a longer scope. ( a couple of inches more than the leupold , I believe .). After some more research , the leupold is 14 inches long I think,( thought it was more compact) LOL I've read 2 diff reviews on the vx6 1x6x24 . First says it's 14 inches long, second says it's 10.7 inches long. Guess I'm gonna have to call Leupold to confirm.

10.7 it is .

I just got a VX6 illuminated, pretty happy, love the alumina flip caps, like the illumination, glass is good, not Z5 good. I'm sure I would be very happy if I didn't have the Swarovski to compare it to

so you think it's worth the $$$, or is there something else in that price range , that's better? One of the selling points for me is that, at 10.7 inches, it's nice and compact. Where did you get the leupold lens covers? Thanks.... Brian

If you r mostly shooting target and coyotes why not look a starting at 2 or 2.5 power. Trijicon3x9x40, Nightforce 2.5-10x32, or Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32 would fit the bill.
