I was reading specs on the Leupold VX6 and see the 4-24 has a 34mm tube. Do any other manufacturers use a 34mm tube - I am not aware of any.

Wonder why a tube this size? Adds weight and bulk and will limit ring options and force a buyer to have to also buy new rings if they wanted this scope. A 30mm diameter should give all the crosshair adjustment range needed.

Thanks, I didn't realize 34mm tubes were common with long range target scopes. That must be the market Leupold is going after with this scope - a small market. From a business point I am sure they could sell way more of this model by sticking with a 30mm tube.
