Leupold VXI LR Duplex

LR Duplex is a simple aimpoint system to assist in longer range shooting, a regular central aim point at crosshair zero'ed at 200 and 3 hold-over points calibrated at 100 yard incriments out to 500 yrds. I guess the easiest way to explain it is that the small dots above the post and below the duplex become your point of impact at distance, an objective at 300 yards would require the first dot below the duplex as the hold on objective point.

OK now I get it. Thanks for the responce. I was going to put this scope on a 22 Hornet where my longest shot would be 200-250 yards. However, 95% of the time my shots would be at around 50 yards or less. So I was going to zero at 50 yards and use the LR feature for shots 200 yards or more where the bullet drop is around 4" at 200 yards and 9" at 250 yards. Based on your responce I don't think it would work out so I'll just get the standard duplex.
