The Rifleman and VX series at the same price point, how do they differ?

Someone mentioned the Rifleman has a limited warranty factor, but what I
have read says different.

What are the physical differences between the two?

I'm guessing you mean the Rifleman vs VX-1? The VX-1 has click adjustments, the Rifleman is friction. The Rifleman has "multi-coated" glass, the VX1 is "fully multi coated", difference being that on the VX1 all lenses are coated. Both are made from parts outsourced overseas, I think the tube is made in the US. Most agree that the better quality Leupolds start with the VXII.

The rifleman is the bottom of the line. The new VX-1 is the same scope as the VX-II was a couple years ago...

i like the Lupold VX-2 which i just picked up in 2-7
from what i have heard the new VX-2 uses the same glass out of the previous gen VX-III ....any truth to it i have no idea but i like both scopes.

the quality of the build between the VX2 and my VXR is insane. the VX-R is a much more solid built scope. these are the only 2 i won to compare, but ive also used the VX-III

Interesting review on cabelas.ca:

The lack of s locking ring on the eyepiece would keep me away, not to mention the lousy eye relief and cost.

I just got the VX1-2x7x33, it has a click Tourette . When comparing it next to the Vx2-2x7x33, I found the VX1 clearer at 7X, as I could read the signage at 75 yards , the VX2 is a small bit brighter in low light. Also the VX2 has a focus adjustment by the eye piece that the VX1 didn't . Also I was told the only other difference was the VX2 has an extra lens coating , making it better in low light conditions. I put the VX1 on mr SR22 , and it's very clear, no problems seeing the .22 holes on paper at 50 yards. And no parallax issues.
