Leupold

I'd bet good money they don't buy Shott or any other European glass version. If they did they'd use it as a sell point. At best they are good Japanese glass.

As it stands now the Euro brands using Euro glass have a big advantage in the quality dept. Which, when you think about it, really makes one wonder why Leupold scopes are pretty much right with the Euros on price when they really should not be.

Oh definitely not Schott, I'm still amazed Tract got a supplier agreement with them (for those unaware, Schott is a Zeiss sister company). Swarovski/Kahles and Meopta are still making their own optical elements as well.

A quick check of previous shipping records show the following for Leupold:

Scopro, Philippines - sporting rifle scopes
Bosma, China - binoculars, spotting scopes
AoF Imaging, Hong Kong - trail cameras
