leupolds for a sako A-lll

Looking to mount a vxlll 3.5x10x40 on a Sako A-lll, anybody have any experience with leupold mounts and will the lows clear the barrel? The old style sako low rings are just a bit too low. I want to keep the scope as low as possible. Conversely, I'm looking for a set of old style Sako mounts in medium!

Not exactly the same gun but low Leopold/Sako rings will not work on my L461 Vixen .222rem with a VX2 3-9x40.....slightly too low.

I'd recommend medium rings, this will still be very low, barely any clearance.

Leupold Sako Low rings measure .230
Leupold Sako Medium rings measure .360
Leupold Sako High rings measure .560

Somebody was trying to trade some old Sako rings on the Optics EE a few weeks back...
