hey folks
first post so be kind, are all lever action rimfire? Im interested in a Henry lever action and seen some listed as WMR and some just as .22LR, where are some of the better places to look for a henry? I have a farm and use my buddies .22 for squirrels and other vermin but I want to buy my own. I have an O/U 12G but thats a bit much for pests around the farm.

thanks

Some 22's shoot shorts, some longs, some long rifle. Some shoot all of the above. Some shoot WMR which is a magnum cartridge. WMR is going to be a little more expensive. If it was me I would just go for the LR version. Good for most barnyard pests

Henry and other make rimfire and centerfire lever action rifles. Both .22 LR and .22 WMR are "rimfire" but they are not the same cartridge. LR will be much cheaper to shoot.

Get a BL22 and shoot shorts, longs, and long rifles all day long accurately and reliably. IMHO the best lever rimfire out there.

If you are looking at Henry's I suggest comparing a few of the models. Example:

- Octagon Barrel or Std
- Hooded front sight or exposed bead style
- Mounting optics (golden boy requires purchase of scope mount, but optic attaches to barrel). Standard has dove tails build in, but less likely to hold a zero after taking it apart in my opinion.

I bought the golden boy after handling a few different configurations of the above. As others have said... they are a good product.
