Who says levers can’t be accurate.

Took my 1895M XLR out and shot some 100yd groups and very impressed to say the least.


This is the factory 325gr FTX

Why not sight you guns in to hit the center of bullseye. I do. It takes more shooting, but who doesn't need the practice?
 
I had the Marlin .35 out last week doing some load development, was pretty happy now that the trigger is about 5lbs lighter. A couple of workable loads that it seemed to like.
Better than my cell ph pics anyway!

is it normal to have that much point of impact shift between differnt ammo and loads with lever guns? I have never experienced this with my bolt actions, different brands, weights ect in 30-06, .270, and .308 rifles have always landed within an inch or 2 out all the bolt guns i have/had. I would be quite concerned that point of impact shift would be quite dramatic between differnt shooting positions in the feild seeing that kind of sensitivity between loads?

No mention of optics in the comments, but a tube mag, barrel band, heavy trigger and fore end grip will cause some stray shots. Peep or buckhorn sights will make a big difference too.

Shooting positions won't change poi with a lever any more than it will with a bolt, sa or pump.

Point of impact due to different ammo-loads in a lever? Sure. Even a couple of grains of powder make a difference due to weight/shape/velocity of suitable lever bullets. As in op's post, notice different bullets and fps. As in my post fps and poi were both almost identical even with different powders but same bullet.

As I also have trouble seeing my 30-06 shooting a 110gr Hornady Superperformance load at 3400+fps to the same poi as a 220gr RN @ 2400fps within 2" of aim point.
 
Here is the rifle in question. Scope is a 3-9x40 (my eyes aren't what they used to be)

I more or less had it sighted in with the factory 325gr, and shot the handload without changing scope settings. Due to the heavier bullet, and higher velocity, the POI changed dramatically.

450 Marlin ! Nice ! I had a BLR in 450 and liked it a LOT H322 is my Fav 45-70Gov and 450 Marlin powder too ! RJ
