I'm looking for a Marlin magazine tube follower that will allow consistent feeding of multiple bullet types and an after market hammer spur extension . I can't seem to find a retailer with these items. Thanks to anyone who has an idea where I can find them.

Man, that's a new one on me...haven't ever seen a factory "follower" that wouldn't push any and every type of bullet onto the elevator. If you are concerned about feeding different lengths of "seated" bullets you have to regulate this by changing the seating depth. The follower that came with your gun is designed to stop at the lip of the magazine feed channel. A follower with a longer snout will stop the elevator from raising when you work the action and one with a shorter snout will not push the last shell all the way onto the elevator, allowing the bullet to stop/jam the elevator travel.

This brings back a memory of an old Winchester 25-35 I had.
Tried the pointy bullet theory of one in and one under and the one under
would be pushed off to the side and wouldn't feed up worth chit.
I figured taking the follower out of the mag tube and finding dead center
of it and whack it with a blunt center punch to divot the center so the
pointy bullet wouldn't scat off to the side.
Never did follow through with this Bubbuh adjustment though.
Couldn't beg meself to do such a thing.

Now if one could find a spare follower to attempt such a dastardly-dew,
please let us know how this works?

I'm not worried about OAL on different rounds, I want to use Hornady FTX rounds which are not flat nose. They even suggest replacing the factory follower because they may not feed reliably. I have found some state side but the companies do not ship to Canada...but as I see mentioned I will check out Brownells, thank you.

For anyone who cares, I searched Brownells as Trinimon suggested and found everything I was looking for! They had specific followers that are milled out to work specifically with the Hornady FTX rounds and a really nice standard follower made of aluminum for a direct replacement. I also found a perfect hammer spur extension. Thanks for the suggestion!

Who suggests this: Hornady, or the folks who make the "improved" follower? FTX's are not flat nose, but their profile is not a very exaggerated spitzer-type either. I've used them in .44Mag and .45-70 in a couple of Marlins, and they fed perfectly. I'd love to hear more about the supposed advantages of this follower. Is it designed for the Hornady ammo exclusively, or do they suggest that it will continue to function properly with standard ammo as well?

In the brass used by Hornady for this ammo, the case-length is very slightly shorter than standard. Is this done to bring the COAL with the slightly longer, pointier bullet back down to a proper length for efficient feeding?
