Lever action recommendations...

Which of these lever actions is the "best"?

All of them are great guns. The thing about the Winchester is that it's just going to go up in price. As they are not made anymore.
 
I'm kind of partial to the Marlin 39A myself. Mine is a newer model with the checkered pistol grip stock and 24" barrel.

For a shorter/lighter gun, try to find the Marlin 39A "Mountie" with the 20" barrel and straight stock.

I just picked up a NIB BL22 and have yet to shoot it. I am also waiting to see if I have a deal on a 39a. I will shoot them both and sell the one I like least. Short throw makes no difference to me but feel will for sure. I have a 1022 as well but want to have a nice lever 22 in the pack too and the old lady likes them too. Let you know soon. I have asked the same question and it just seemed simpler to get them both and shoot them.
