So, at the factory in the Philipines, is Armscor the front door and SMA the back door, or visa-versa?
NAA.
Really, I don't think they have anything to do with each other. Armscor is in Manila area (island of Luzon, capitol area), SMA is in Mandaue (island of Cebu).
I don't see a reason why it should be the same company, there are so many highly qualified people in this trade. I know the area where SMA is located, it is an industrial area, probably even drove by a few times.

I have to add here that I will not buy this pistol for 2 reasons:
1. Trigger pull has been reported as unacceptable high, around 7.5 to 8 lbs,
2. Lever Arms seems to be the only one offering this gun for now, I think it's an OK company as walk in customer where you can pick and choose but I am not sure what gun they would ship me if I mail order, on top of that I checked out their shipping costs with their "online shipping costs calculator" - 2 to 3 times higher than actual shipping costs, everybody who is following my posts on this subject knows that a very sensitive nerve has been hit,
Will go with STI Spartan or RIA instead

Very nice old school Commander. But why oh why do they have to call it a Trojan???
Yeah, I am going to get that "Trojan" Filled before refinishing it.
Bad enough when they stamp names in guns but to do it by hand!
Should fill in easily witha welder though.

1. Trigger weight comes down after minor break in according to reviews.
2. I guess I will find out today as it is out for shipment right now. Pick it up after work.
Why wouldn't it be the one you ordered though?
I paid a little more for Expedited ($37) so it would come faster. This is almost exactly what Canada Post estimates shipping as for Express Post.
Shipping for them probably includes the extras involved with shipping. Packing it up, taking it to post office etc. over what is involved with local pick up. The cost involved fot Handling. Not a deal breaker for me.
In my house in 1 week for $680 Taxes in. Travelled from Vancouver to Montreal to Ottawa to Kemptville.
Will only get to look over it quickly tonight and hope to take pics etc. in a few days. Need to do it while my GF is out of house or sleeping.
