In the market for one, any recommendations? Older or newer rifles? I know the market is a bit slim in that cartridge but recently sold my pistol and have lots of reloading gear for it lol.
Thanks

lots of option's from Mare's Hand, to 16 or 18" Alaskan and Take Down's as well as longer 20" options. Rossi, Chiappa, Pedersoli, Henry & Marlin. then you have a number of finish options as well. case hardened, stainless, blued, weather treated, octagonal barrel, wood, laminate or plastic stocks and more!

I love my full stocked Ranch Hand in 45 Colt. 255gr@1880fps makes it a fair thumper. Quite accurate too, I hit a running coyote @ 60yds last fall.

I'd go for a new Winchester carbine meself if I didn't already have me Rossi RH unit. ;)

If got 2 Henry in 45 the mares leg and the full length. But by far my favorite all around for the bush is my rossi 16". Its got a better sight picture than the 12s ( I do have a 357 full stock with a peep, accurate but not as quick) light enough to carry all day, and with a 300 cast she hits hard.

An older Marlin 1894 would my recommendation, or the new Winchester 1892's. They are excellent rifles as long as you are not bothered by the rebounding hammer and tang safety.

Chris.
