I'm a bolt milsurp guy through and through, but I've always had an cowboy-esque itch that needs to be scratched one of these days. I'm sure I'll end up with a 30-30 sometime :D

Great pics btw!

So to pay for this awesome new gun you're selling the 444 eh Gord? :p :D

Seriously though, very nice gun man. If my new XLR craps out (and i hope to god it doesn't) i'll be looking for a nice reliable 30-30. Sh*t, i think i'll just get one either way. Hope she treats you well.

Well if my Marlin 444 sells that will free up some cash. This Winchester rifle has never been fired and i can hardly wait for the weekend , i am going to put a few rounds through it....if it shoots as nice as the Carbine i will be a happy camper. Really don't know what else i need, but i sure have this gun bug bad, the Winchesters and Marlins i now own are all awesome pieces of ART, i have stopped for now at 5 guns, as my gun safe is now full. Now i want to enjoy them and i thought i would pass on my good fortune to others that maybe are sitting on the fence, wondering if they should take the leap......hey you only live once may as well enjoy it, or as it was said earlier i have this terrible itch and i am scratching it...

Be careful! In my experience, the lever gun itch doesn't go away; it just gets bigger! I always disliked levers in general, and then I bought a Savage 99. Then I bought another. And another. And another. Now, I have 4 Savage 99s, a Winchester 1894 in .38-55, and a Marlin in .30-30. I don't see an end in sight, because I still don't have a Marlin in .45-70. My wife says I have a problem......

I thought I was not a lever fan till I got my first Savage 99C in 308. Well that pretty much changed everything. Currently have a Winnie 1894 (DOM 1900) in 38-55. a Winnie 9422, and two more Savage 99s I just got-a 99f 250 Savage and an old (1920) heavy barrel 30-30. Looking forward to working up loads for the dirty 30 cuz its a rotary mag so pointy boolits are A-Ok. Hope to pick up die sets and brass next weekend at the Burnaby HACS show. Got a bunch of bolts too but the levers are for fun. Mind you the 99C (detatch mag) 308 is an ideal truck gun too. Nice carry and fast point.
