Leverevolution 45-70 cases short; Why

"...mean reloading cannot..." Nope. It likely means the cases haven't stretched. The only difference between Leverevolution ammo and regular ammo is the bullet. Oh and the velocities.

I have put Remington ammo side by side with the Hornady and the Hornady rounds are shorter. Fired, the cases show even more of a difference in size.

In theory, the shorter cases will produce more pressure then the same load in a reg. length case, when reloaded.

Only if loaded to a shorter OAL. If the OAL is equal, so will the pressure be. Only problem is when you load bullets longer in the shorter case, you will not reach the cannelure with the case mouth if you want to crimp.

Why would you load bullets in a heavy kicking caliber and not use the cannelure, or crimp groove for a good heavy crimp? When you load to the crimp groove, the shorter case has the potential for higher pressure.
