LF Information on the Kel Tec SU-16F & Friends

Irunguns had the SU16 on for under $500 US. Not sure if they still have the deal on.
I’ve owned a couple ,they were ok, you can easily do 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 MOA with quality handloads.

If you’re dead set on one, just buy new , so you got warranty.
There’s an American site , that has a ton of good info on them.

Also, Ironeagle tactical has a lot of parts /upgrades for sale, for the SU16.

Thanks for all of the info guys! After looking around a bit more I think I may have to go with the 180C considering everything...

I think you made a wise decision but why not get both!
I have both. Started out with the Kel-Tec and it was great for what it was built for (Sport Utility- 16). Great for throwing in the backpack or in the truck. Really easy to handle. I actually like the rifle grip style as it makes it look less menacing. Accurate and fun to shoot. Extremely soft shooting. Handles all kinds of ammo and mags. I must have put 1500 rds through it already and no issues. I did change the trigger and springs and put in a new extractor spring. Fold out tripod is a bit of gimmick which i never use.
However images of the receiver breaking are always in the back of my mind when i'm shooting it. If you can get it at a great price, you should get one.

I moved to the WK180 and it is a different beast altogether. You can read about all the reviews here so i won't rehash it. Much easier to clean than the Kel-Tec. If you can afford both, why not buy both.

Its absolutely true what they say, one gun is never enough.

Meh, I'd just get the 180c and never think of the SU again.... take that spare money, and spend it on a totally different gun, or equipment u need/want.

I have owned every keltec product available to us with the exception of the RBC or whatever the newest plastic POS is. I cannot recommend Keltec to anyone. There are not only better, but safer options as well. What do you think all that plastic is going to do if you ever have a case fail or the gun fail for that matter?

I had a Gen 2 .40 Sub-2000 fail and it was incredible that I wasn't seriously injured. The chamber split after four rounds and annihilated the receiver area. My gun was not part of the current or any recall. If I had the same thing happen with an su-16 I would probably be blind and disfigured.

I had the su16 tactical model for a while. It was accurate and worked great no issues
I didn't like that the reciever was plastic so once I got a 180 I sold it off
