Anyone know of a set of those tiny Torx bits used on cell phones, knives, grips, etc. The small ones are something like 1mm diameter.

Bought a good quality set at KBC tools on Annacis Island. Can't remember the exact price but it wasn't too expensive. I do not reccomend buying cheap crap. They will only give you headaches.

The Princess Auto set (the bigger one in the orange case) is actually really good. The bits are tempered well, I've used the tiny flatheads to break off security torx pins and the bit didn't even bend. Think it was 10-15 bux. Man, I miss princess auto, we need one on the island bad.

I think they are size 6, and I think I bought a bit at Canadian Tire... for dismantling a pocket knife that used small torques screw. In these smallest sizes quality isn't a big deal, you can not twist such a small thread with much force to start with.

maddisons(addisons) are 2 affiliated electronics stores in montreal east and laval. they have a s**t load of those torx bits for .50 cents each.from really small to really big.if you need i can get some for you...

Yah, those sets at the auto shop places don't ggo small enough. The torx sizes I need or super tiny, they almost look like sharpedned points until you look closely.

Thanks for the tips.

They do, I have a set that's been around for about 22 years. The dealer I bought them from is now retired.

I bought a set of torx screw drivers from Princess Auto to do service on cell phones.

They are the tiny jeweler screw driver sizes. It is a set with one handle, and 8 or so double ended bits. They do phillips as well.

Call them, and they will have what you need. Good supplier for all sorts of electronics tools at reasonable prices.

CDN Tire have a "Precision" set, which uses interchangable bits, and they are down to T1 IIRC, it is a plastic case, clear, with about 20 or so various bits, 24.95 or so.

In the states, however they have bits all the way down to T3 size, roughly 1.3mm in dia.

:D :D

MRO is a WIHA dealer. I have had a set of their adjustment tools for almost 10 years, and they are some of the best I have ever used.:dancingbanana:

Midland liquidator on Kingsway west of Knight has Torx on sale as a set of 5 mini bits for about $4. Bought a set for my ZT Knife just a couple of months ago. best deal on tools in the city.
