Hey Ya'll. I Live in Tweed Ontario, and i am looking for somewhere to hunt in southern Ontario for waterfowl. I work throughout the week and I am having trouble finding fields/water to hunt. If anyone can help me out that would be great.
Thanks
Riley

isnt tweed pretty much right on a big lake? get soem decoys and a boat hide in the catttails . thats prett much all we ever did in Carletonplace

Your in one of Ontario's best migratory routes, all i can suggest is put some gas in your truck and keep looking for field's and water holding birds it should only take a couple of outings to nail a place down

Same advice, drive around farmland, any fields that are holding birds, go ask the farmers for hunting permission. Most farmers are happy if you can keep the geese out of their fields.

You have to be persistant. I spent many days driving around beautiful Norfolk county only to find many and certainly all the best fields were rented by outfitters. Some times they dont even use them but the farmer cant let anybody on even if they are not used, because of the signed agreement. It was very difficult but I did find a couple. I usually give them some birds or a gift certificate at the end of the season. It is truly getting harder and harder to find a place. Keep at it though and post some pictures as inspiration to the rest of us when you bag some.
