Hey all,
I have a Browning LH Target/Varmint .22 WMR T-bolt that I bought new with a tupperware stock. I love the gun but I just can't stand the plastic. I'm hoping somebody out there knows of a fellow who has a duplicator who could rough a new stock in walnut. I've machined and hand fitted a number of stocks for Cooey single shots that turned out well, but the inletting on the T-Bolt looks a little daunting. Any suggestions? I've checked out the U.S. stock makers but the LH configuration seems to be a sticking point. Thanks for your time!

"...exemption limit is now $500..." That doesn't change any of the other daft U.S. exporting laws.
"...the LH configuration seems to be..." Usually is. LH stocks for anything are few and far between with a premium added.
"...who has a duplicator..." You can't duplicate something you don't have. Be really pricey too.
Have you talked to Browning? They do make a LH walnut stocked, .22 Mag, T-Bolt.
Try here.

I have the left hand plastic stock the rifle came with; it should not be difficult to use a duplicating (3D pantograph) router to machine at least a rough stock that I could dress out. As to dealing with Browning directly, I'm not young enough to wait on them. I believe the company motto is, "We don't care. We don't have to." Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Can't prove it true, but I have read elsewhere on the net that the current production RH-LH T-Bolt stocks are interchangable wood or composite. The one caveate would be they would need to both be for the same bbl profile. If you look at the current vs Belgian stocks, the new ones are relieved on both sides for the opened bolt clearance while the Belgians are not.

I have a LH sporter in wood and have kicked around the idea of finding a digital green composite stock for the heck of it. No idea on the used market, but you may want to try an ad to swap for a wood stock ?

I was looking at my rifle this morning and you are correct - it is symmetrical. Though the bolt is on the left, it ejects on the right. I will take you suggestion and try a swap ad. An d you are correct again the Varmint /Target profile is heavier than the Sporter.
