Has anyone seen any of these on this side of the 49th? I know they hit the US market a couple or three years back but no sign of them up here.

I've made a couple of very specific inquiries with one of our local supporting dealers that carries the Zastava line but didn't really get any sort of meaningful response other than 'we have a new shipment of rifles coming in next week'.

Any lh Zastava Hornets out there Canada?

I never saw the LH Zastava M-85 Hornet in any shops in Canada. But there were a few M-85 in 7.63 x 39 that made it to Canada. I suspect that LH M-85 was produced in a very limited amount. Some say the M-85 was not that smooth and was on the rough side. I wasn't able to handle one first hand so I have no opinion of any value. I had also inquired about M-85 in the availability of the 22 Hornet in LH and no commitment to bring any in. Zastava is not showing a left handed bolt action in the M-85 so this gives me the impression that the limited production run is over. It may be possible to find one in the US and it would have to be brought over with paper-work.

I would contact prophet river. They are able to hunt down and bring across specific firearms that are unavailable in canada. This is not cheap though.

I seen couple of LH M85 Zastava actions for sale 10-15 years ago here and there in BC gun shows but not the whole rifles.
Well, I am left handed and machinist so in retrospect I should buy at least one....
About 20 years ago though I converted LH Rem mod 581 in 5mm Mag into 22K Hornet with lightweight 19" barrel so I had no real need for any other.
At 4,5 lbs that rifle is joy to carry and shoot as well.
