So I have been living in Manitoba for the past few years but recently moved to Ontario. I was wondering if there was an 'easy' (I know nothing is easy when dealing with the gov't) way to transfer my hunting license or if I would have to go through the whole course again. Or maybe I could challenge the exam?

Anyone else have experience with this?

Like mentioned.. you have to get the Ontario hunting card and simply buy/ apply for youre big game tags. As a proven and qualified hunter, they shouldn't ask for more, could they?..

Just went through the same bit. You have to re-write the hunter test. It is very simple and you can challenge it with anyone that holds the exam. Remember to bring your last license from MB.

Is that the one where they give you two hours, a calculator, a computer and a phone, and you have to get a straight answer on whether you can hunt on a Sunday with a large caliber rifle that would have got you busted for the Saturday before?

:D

Here in Ab., I ticked "Yes" in the box that asked if I had ever had a hunting licence before, and it was a done deal.

<best Nelson Muntz> Ha Ha!
