life of cleaning media....

im tumbling with the stuff that came with my lyman turbo tumbler its a type of cermic i believe, used dry ive run about 6 full loads of dirty brass through it so far and it works good the only problem is now the media is almost black and leaving black dust on the cases....:( is there anyway i can clean it or should i just pitch it and refill (i have lots anyway)....

I bought a Lyman Turbo 2500 and never got any media...I feel gypped.

Do you put bits of paper towel or used dryer sheets in with it? I do that in mine and they come out black and the media stays clean. I am using corncob and have only done a couple batches of 500.

i think you have the bigger version mine is the 1500 i belive;) i was half the price and came with free media!:D

i will try the dryer sheet idea:cool:....
