Light and Laser combo, where to buy?

What will you be using the light for?
Weigh the intensity carefully. For competition use, high lumen lights can blind you especially if you run into white Corplast walls. 200-500 lumen lights are good for more than 100yds which should be good for most applications. Don’t forget about battery drain and the heat these things generate.

I find lasers completely useless. I tried them in competition use and never even noticed them the entire night! The light adds enough that just using the red dot sight was enough.

In reality, just for fun. I don't do any competitive shooting. I want something I can put on a Sub 2000 and/or a pistol. Maybe it's silly, but I always thought it'd be fun to shoot from the hip with a laser on a target. As I mentioned, I'm mostly a milsurp collector, but part of me want's to have a tacticool firearm for messing around at the gun range... I just want a good quality laser & light combo, not a cheap one. What's a good dealer who specializes in this sort of thing? I also want a forward pistol grip.

Other than looking for deals on the EE, I see you’re in Surrey. Go cross the bridge and check out DS Tactical in New West or Reliable in Van. They have a nice assortment of lights ( not sure about lasers).

Pistol and rifle lights also have different switches and may not mount interchangeabley to guns.

As to laser hip shooting with a pistol. You’ll find that in bright daylight, the laser is close to useless. It may be fine in darker days or in an indoor range but I’m not sure how many will allow hip shooting.

The Streamlight TLR-6 is popular at a good price. They are on the EE regularly.

Don’t forget to consider upgrading your existing sights to something you can see in the dark if you’re actually using a weapon mounted light in real low light conditions, a light is no good if you can’t see your sights to align them.
