This is a one of the recent parades (sorry, don't have a better photo), what are these SKS's? (new, old, possibly Chinese lol?)

looks like russian honor guards to me. they have blonde hard wood on honor guards rifles but these one are partially chromed, no chromed on barrel, weird.

More than likely the stocks were sanded that's all . so they are more noticeable in the white . so to say.

When Russian SKS rifles were first imported into Canada, many of them came with non stained stocks. Same with Mosins, both 91s and 91/30s.

I can remember seeing pallets of SKS and Mosin stocks and handguards, that weren't stained at the International Firearms warehouse in Montreal, back in the mid seventies. They were all tagged for shipment to the US.

Many people didn't like the ''blonde'' stocks, just like many folks don't like ''blonde'' stocks on No1/No4 Lee Enfields and Garands, as well as some M14s.

Depending on the particular stock, their "in the white" color could range from almost white to yellow, tan and even light brown.
