Working on an ISSC M22 with a few guys who know a lot more than me. We are trying to source some new springs, or even uprated springs, but to no avail yet.

Wondering two things:

One - Is there anyone around that can make a higher tensile spring that would fit (coils, diametre, guage, etc.)?

Two - Anyone have any experience with making a hammer heavier to increase the mass and therefore 'strike' on the rimfire cartridge?

Looking for some tips before I ruin a very comfortable .22lr firearm that still shoots 8.5 out of 10 shots.

Any chance you can provide a pic of the firing pin (the end that would strike the round)? I'm just wondering if the face could be reduced increasing the impact pressure.

Have you tried Wolfe springs they seem to have a ton of product.. U.S. of course

Do those guns have a firing pin safety?

If yes, take the firing pin and the safety plunger out and check if the safety plunger is peened from the firing pin hitting it first . I had that happened with a tanfoglio .22 adapter. The firing pin would strike the safety plunger first, bounce of and the hit the rim very light. Most the time if i cocked the hammer the second time the round would go of.
At first I put ball bearing ball under the main spring to make the hammer hit harder but that did not work. Finally i pulled the firing pin and plunger and found the situation as mentioned above.
