Light primer strikes.

Looking for any input into light primer strikes I am experiencing.
I have a 12 gauge Franchi 48 AL semi auto shotgun and about every 10 / 12 discharges I get a non discharge and the primer shows a light strike. It always discharges on the second attempt.
I replaced the firing pin and spring 6 months ago and have thoroughly cleaned the trigger assembly.
This happens with all makes of cartridges and is not restricted to just one brand which presumably rules out any hard primers.
If anyone can throw any light on this or suggest a solution, then I would love to hear from you.

When you have a light strike, check the ammunition itself. Some ammo has turned up where the rim is dished and holds the primer farther away from firing pin. This distortion can be subtle. I shoot with an old guy with a BT99 that has at least 100,000 rounds through it. It won't shoot some brands at all because the rim thickness headspaces the round too far away from the firing pin. You might have something like that going on with your gun. I'm not familiar with the Franchi so I can't comment on the internals.
