Anyone have light primer strike problem with American Eagle AR223 #ae223bl. Black box ammo? I’m using a cz527 and getting quite a few. Mil spec primers?

I have seen it with a Tikka SUPER sporter, a SportcoM44, a Savage BT112, and a Remington 700.
AMERICAN Eagle only, other cheap ammo and precise handloads never misfire in any of these rifles.

Check the firing pin to make sure it's not damaged, chipped etc. Check also the firing pin channel/recess to make sure there's no crud slowing down the firing pin strike.

AE does not have hard primers.

I have seen that happen a few times ,, I too blamed the ammo ,, however to fix the problem I had to put new firing pin spring in ,,, Just my 2 cents

Having this issue with MRX Bison, thought I had the Trigger Tech adjusted too low. Set it a bit heavier and same thing. 9 rounds from a box of 100 light primer strikes.

It's very common with this ammunition and bolt action rifles. It fires almost 100% with AR 15s, WS-MCR, Tavor, etc.

Disappointing. I bought the cz527 to use this particular ammo I have that was formerly used in my AR15 till Ottawa made it a safe queen

Bought a case of AE 223 55gr 7or8 yrs ago on sale to use in my stevens 200. Lots of misfires with it. Started out fine but then it gradually increased from 1/box up to like 5/box. Gave lots of it away. Never had any probs with other brands. UMC, ss109, sb etc.

Exactly.

Plenty will disagree, but I think my firearms shouldn't need a special diet in order to work properly. If it can't handle SAAMI spec ammo, it's not working right.
