For some reason non of my rifles are very high speed. Lately I've been itching to break the 3000fps mark

Of all my center fire rifles ranging from 297/230 morris to 500 Jeffery, none are really hotrods. Their standard loads are 2450fps and below (303, 460w, 375hh, 500j, 6.5x55/53r, 43e, 44m, 45-70, 8mm, 577 and some pistol calibers)

So I've been wanting a new rifle that the standard loads is 3k+ fps

But I still have too many rifle projects that need funds before i buy a new rifle. So instead I figure I'd get the Win model 70 in 375 h&h above the 3k mark, it's a nice rifle that shoots very well.

What bullets are out there in the 200gr area.

I have seen the sierra pro hunters in 200gr but they say they should be around 2200 fps.

I'm looking for ~200gr bullets that will hold up hitting game at 3000 fps, they don't need to be hunting bullets but at the very least legal form hunting and ideally full copper so they still have good sectional density/ length to them

So for fun I threw this into GRT.

I went to barnes TSX 235gr over 75.5gr of Hodgson LeverEvolution (Figured it would be a starting point.) At almost max pressure it got 2990.1 FTS predicted out of a 24" barrel.

So then I used the 235gr projectile and ran a parametric powder search with the 3000fps being the goal.

I came back with zero results that could do it. Sadly and my version of GRT is missing some projectiles for sure.

I differently think with some of the lighter offerings like Hammers or Cutting edge who has a 175gr projectile. Will be able to get you to 3k no problem!

The 200gr Sierras are for 375 Win and will blow up on game if you push them to 3000. A light mono metal is what you want, I never found any lower than 235gr Barnes. Those Hammers may be the ticket! :)

I had a ZKK 602 in 375. With Hornady 300gr rn it was an easy 3 round 1/2" group with the pet load. It would just not group well at all with light bullets. I wish you good luck.

Looks like cutting edge bullets has a 175gr bullet, the reviews for the bullet include a guy getting 3400fps in a h&h, with plans to perforate some Iowa whitetail.

I thought CEB made a 200 or 220 but I don't see anything like that on their site, just the 175 and then it jumps to 230.

Weird, might have something to do with the Canada Post strike? They used FedEx in the beginning but my last few ordered have come USPS/Canada Post

Wouldn't hurt to give them a call, Im sure they could send and order via courier but FedEx and UPS are cost prohibitive.

Georges Shooting Shack is the only dealer in Canada that I know of.

Yep it's because they ship USPS, guess I'll just wait 'til the strikes over or CP goes tits. Thanks for your help.
My last order was messed up by CP. I was emailing back and forth with Steve D. @ Hammer and had given up on the location of the product. When they arrived the box had the poo kicked out of it so bad I took pics then opened it at the post office. I contacted him after to see if they would do future purchases with a different carrier, but was simply declined. They may consider others now as we can't buy under the current Socialist regime.
It was over six months. Nothing to do with Hammer other than their shipping provider. Really amazing products. There's a reason Weatherby has started using their projectiles. Steve is a good guy and may listen to multiple requests for a different carrier. Doesn't hurt to ask. Cheers

Dogleg, would you mind sharing your load for the 235 Speer? I have a M70 Alaskan .375. I should load up with some lightweight bullets and poke something far away with it.
