I found a Finnlight in 300 mag new for $1299 but was wondering how a rilfe that small would feel behind a 300 mag??
Anyone shooting a Finnlight in 300 mag?? Whats it like to shoot compared to a 30-06??

The new Ti Alaskan? The whole idea behind the original Ti was a light rifle barely in financial reach of a lot of hunters. Then they give it a magnum contour barrel with flutes, add some meaningless stuff and end up jacking the weight and price. Idiots.

Otherwise 280_Ackley nailed it. Grab a LSS MR and sell the stock. Pick up a take-off Ti stock and you save a ton of dollars. In fact I just did this...bought a SPS stainless 25-06 and had the barrel turned down to MR contour. I'm putting it in a Ti stock and will have a 6 1/4 pound, 24" 25-06 for less than $900. $2000 for an "Alaskan"? Not very likely.

Wow upwards of $2000.00 for a Rem puts you within a couple hundred more for an HS Precision, now there is as fine a light weight rifle as there is.FS
