Very light weight and portable.

I built one like that ( I was at Tiggrs shoot) . Works good but I am going to make a modification to it. Instead of the rear legs being in the center I am going to move the legs away from the shooter about 4 inches. This will give the shooter a little more room at the table and not crown the legs.

Other than that very easy to make and cheap. The only down fall is you have to order the legs from the states. Took 9 days to get and about 50 min to make.

This one is not light weight but works great, very portable....

Follow this link. I have built 5 of these benches. They are easy to make (requires 3 welds on support plates).
A bit more involved with making the support brackets, but I have never sat at any portable bench "anywhere" ever, that has more stability.

3 legs is super convienient.
I have had the opportunity to try many different types and have always returned to this style.

I will send a picture later this week.
I have made a full sized precision bench, and a semi-compact type.

Looking for a light shooting bench for long range shooting in remote areas. Any examples or ideas?

A lot may laugh, I use a metal ironing board and folding chair. It fits all of your stated requirements, cheap and light. And most have adjustable heights.

This video inspired me.
