The modification to the hammer sear surface should be done using a stone. Dremel??? I could see using it for polishing surfaces with jewlers rouge, but not for altering the engagement surfaces. What are you doing with the dremel?

The dremel is used to "polish" the surfaces where there are some machining marks, and rough edges. It does not mean "remove" huge amounts of material. I would use a fine white stone, and VERY lightly drag across the surface. If you "Mic" it, your probably taking off .002" to .004". I used the shims too, that come with a power custom hammer and adjustable sear. I have found no advantage in changing the springs, i went back to the original Ruger.
If your not mechanically inclined, buy a KIDD fully assembled, or take it to a 'smith.

Funny, a guy at the range today was telling me about how much the volquartsen target hammer would help my trigger pull, and then I see this thread.

One on order now. Seems like a good way to spend $34.00, other then on the other bricks of .22 I will now need to buy because of this part.

Thanks for the dissassembly link as well. Very useful.
