Looking for recommendations on lights/lazors for the handgun. Came across olights on amazon. They look alright and the quick release would be nice. But wonder if they would come loose while shooting? What brands do people normally get?
Thanks.

I bought a couple of the Olight PL Mini, Valkyrie (one for me and one for a friend), from Amazon. I believe it is 400 lumens. Nice and compact - seems well made - has a neat charging system. If I'm taking the gun that it is on, to the range, I normally take the light off - detaches and re-attaches very easily. I wouldn't expect it to come loose while shooting - it is designed for a hand gun.

If you plan on using your gun with a holster, go with either Surefire or Streamlight as those are the most common ones and most holsters for light bearing pistols are made for those models.

I've been using the Insight WL1-AA for awhile, which fit with M3/M6 holsters.

I've got both the pl-1 and pl-2 Valkyrie and they're really good.
Also an old tlr-1 that's due to be replaced with an updated model
The PL2 will fit leather holsters designed for the tlr-1. Not kydex though.

If you’re not looking to drop streamlight or surefire dollars, I’d look at the o-lights. They seem pretty robust now that people have had them for a bit and the prices are reasonable, I’ve been looking at them on Amazon. Thinking about picking up a couple to try out on a pistol and a shotgun.

I contacted olight twice asking if their pistol lights would hold up to shotgun recoil.
Their lack of response speaks louder than words.
Mine will stay on lighter recoiling weapons like pistols and carbines
