Playing with 10/22s for a while has given me an appreciation for using different materials for barrels. I have been using a Kidd Ultralight for a few years and have put 10k+ rounds through it. Also a couple of my buddies own Magnum Research 10/22 with carbon barrels.
Unfortunately 10/22’s seem to be the extent of usage of composite/aluminum bull barrels. I have been thinking about getting a nice accurate bolt action .22 lately. I really wish there was better options for composite/aluminum barrels for bolt actions.
