Maybe one of us could get things taken care of on the Canadian side and I'll get my local FFL to do business on this side 
Yeah... wishful thinking. I've heard that my local FFL had tried that once and it took something like two months for paperwork to go through.
On another note, many FFLs are so threatened by CDNN that they refuse to do business with them, like one of my local FFLs citing some obscure and ridiculous reasons for not wanting to doeal with CDNN.
