Anyone using in the .44 Mag rifle? New CVA Scout. I have read of the negative reports in revolvers but none in rifles. I have this powder on hand but no Win296 that I have used in other .44 rifles in the past. Any input would be appreciated.

I've just started using it in my Ruger m77/44 and my Win M92, only shot a few dozen test rounds so far. From what my research tells me and what I've observed with limited testing, it seems like an excellent powder in a rifle. I don't see a downside.

Limited direct experience here, but my reading indicated: According to the internet the problem with Lil' Gun only existed with high pressure loads in revolvers, due to the cylinder gap. Rifles should be fine.

Those who like it seem to love it.

What I read it’s a revolver issue. It dose burn hot. So lots of rapid fire with heat a barrel more than say 110.
I use lilgun in my 45 Colt Henry. Can get some impressive velocity.
2 moa @ 100 as well.

H110 is a replacement for 296 powder and Lil gun is right next to both of them on the burn tables. They are almost exactly the same.

I got a chance to test a few loads with the LIL'GUN yesterday, I didn't have the chronograph but I don't think there's a noticeable difference between it and the Win 296. Hope to try a few more loads later this week. Thanks to all those that have replied.
