Took out the latest acquisition last night.
A 1935 Peruvian Carbine in 7.65 x 53mm. Shooting some nuisance beaver.
I will post pictures of it and the beaver midday, promise.
Pretty cool. Throws a fireball like an M44; just without the kick. I shot a bit low on one of the beaver but the waterspout still picked it up out of the water like a 'depth charged rowboat' lol.
When I shot the first one my daughter was behind me and she exclaimed " I think I just saw the ground move!". Which she likely kinda did; the knee deep dried grass probably moved from the excessive muzzle blast.
Pretty fun, but I'm down to about 5 rds of milsurp FMJ now :(
Time to gear up the ammo hunt

A member here contacted me with a pm concerning 300 rds of surplus, but I politely declined. I'm a reloader so I'll get some dies and components located...off to the races.

Good shooting! Those carbines would have a pretty good blast.

I have a nice longer barreled one for sale..............;)

Oh, and you should be able to get reloading components pretty easily. TEC I think?

Are those little carbines reasonably easy to find? That's a Mauser in a caliber I'd like to own because I'm a pretentious gun-hipster.

I think that this one is a little rarer than some; you will pay more than for a similar rifle I'd think.
It's got a few little things that the Peruvian's requested; reversed safety being one. A 30° swiveling lower sling attachment another; for cavalry I'd imagine.
It's really nice to handle and not a bear recoil wise; maybe 50 % of an M-44 IMO
TEC is out at the moment but Raynor Shine is proported to have some, I'll be in touch with him tomorrow anyhow. All else fails C & H will get another call

Cheers. Prvi also loads that round - who is a Prvi dealer in Canada?
