Hey guys,

A gunsmith over on Rimfire Central has been bugging Lilja to improve their 455 barrels, and it looks like they are getting ready to do a run of them! They will be switching back to the EPS match chamber, using a cone breech, threading the muzzle, and turning the shanks extra long so that headspace can be precisely set to your individual action with an included shim kit. All of the potential drop-in issues are being addressed, if there was ever a time to get a new barrel for your 455, this is it!

It also looks like they wont have the barrel screw slots cut, so they will have to be glued in (this is better for accuracy, and easy to do yourself... or by your preferred gunsmith for a modest fee). Get in touch with djdilliodon of RFC if you're interested, importing through Prophet River would be the way to go on getting it into Canada (easy paperwork and reasonable price).

They are fully prepared to change how they do these Barrels but don't wanna commit fully till they know a market exists. Once they see a demand is there the prices will be what a drop in costs, plus about $20 for the shims, plus the cost of shipping. Getting one in a group buy like this now will save you money.

For these 20 Barrels we are stuck on the straight .900" and a fixed length :(. A completion date I can ask Monday but I'm sure for this they will get right on it.

I haven't looked at the thread in a few days, it wouldn't surprise me if the retaining system was similar to the Shilen barrels Killough sells for the 455. If so you could still use the screws, rather than having a permanent attachment with adhesive.
 
Update on this final details:

All Barrels at 21" long and 11* crown, no threading or other lengths.

The cuts will be made so you can use the barrel screws or you can not use them and do a glue in. You get the best of both worlds.

5 shim pack set will be included so you can come up with any headspace you desire. Most will need 1-2 shims and no way will you need to use 3 unless you just want to lol.

They will do these in both .900" straight or varmint contour which is .900" for 3" and a straight taper to .630" at the muzzle . All Barrels will have the EPS match chamber.

You will pay lilja direct and I will let you know what to say when you call to place the order.

I got the price down to $400 delivered!!!

ETA on delivery is 12-15 weeks.

Now we just need a minimum of 20 orders and this will happen! If you want one send me a pm and I'll give you the info to place your order. Remember out of all the Barrels sold, I will do a full build for free for one lucky purchaser :)
