Hey guys-I'm on the cusp of ordering one of these to try, always like the look of them (suppressor-ish) and have never liked the look of the threaded caps manufactures use. CZ=nice enough cap, but bigger than the diameter of the barrel on mine. T1x=pretty seamless, but plastic. I know machined/metal ones are out there, but making one last attempt to talk myself out of buying a linear brake.

Can't say I 100% believe that the report (from the shooter's perspective) is lessened using one of these, but I thought I'd turn to the crew here and ask who's using one, which one, and why? Like it? Would you recommend?

thanks!

Like an S&J Linear Comp?
On my 10/22 10" barrel makes a big difference in perceived noise. Without ear pro it hurts ears when fired, with the comp I should still have ears on but it isn't painful.

I have a Noveske Pig I use on a centerfire, works great. Have used the S&J & Dlask linear comps on rimfires and 9mm rifles. Not a big improvement on a rimfire, but does direct the sound away from the shooter mildly. A longer barrel had almost as big an effect. Shorter the barrel the more it helped.

the one on my 10/22 is from Dlask

^that's the one I'm looking at. Pictures on their site aren't great, mind posting a couple of photos? There are only images of the front end, not seeing a flat spot for a wrench and can't tell if a crush washer is req? Looks like hand-tighten only?

Any tangible improvement using one?

IMG_0632.jpegThis is a Volquartsen model. I have used the Dlask as well with good results. Presently have a Heathen with the tuner to get more weight out front on my semi comp gun, it needs to be indexed but easy to accomplish with their design. Have a titanium on a ss17HMR that’s extremely light if weight is an issue. I’ll take some pics when I get home and post them. Getting stoked about Saskatchewan!!
