Linear Comp question

Morning,

I just bout a DD Omega X 12.0 handguard. This handguard has an actual length of 12.4" and a small interior diameter of 1.08". I was planning to mount this to my 10.5" barrel and run a linear comp recessed within the handguard. The problem im finding is that most linear comps are either too short or too fat for the handguard. I was planning to get an S&J as the diameter will fit however the longest comp is only 2" which woudnt work when you factor in the barrel threads.

Does anyone know of any linear comps which have a diameter smaller than 1.08" and are about 3" long?

I really like the DD handguard and am hoping not to have to re sell it on the EE.

check hera. they make a few diffent linear comps.

Hera has the length you are looking for but the tube is 1.25", take a look at S&J or Dlask they might fit inside your rail, but might not have the length you want.

Yeah ive already looked at those options. No dice they are too short. I actually looked into the Hera Arms ones and wolverines has one that looks like it might work.

Thanks for the tip. I think no found what might work. Now my only concern is that because its such a close fit, it might actually contact the handguard during barrel whip.....

Its looking more and more like this Omega X rail wont work

A different route, but how about a 11.5" DD barrel with the S&J comp?

i am using the larger hera on a 12 in alg rail. the short barrel wont flex much. i would see if it fits before ditching the dd. this is on a 10.5.

Ive already got the barrel on a current SBR....I'm just swapping out the handguard

Yeah maybe so. I can always sell the Linear comp if need be

Ahh seen. For some reason I had it in my head it was a new build. My bad!
