I just picked up LSS mountian.I wanted to re-stock it,but the Laminate is quite a attractive stock. So the question is can I lighten this stock up any?I was thinking of drilling holes in the barrel channel and buttstock area's and filling woth Expandable foam.Any thoughts? Thanks

You can lighten it quite a bit by careful drilling and hollowing in the forend and the butt stock... it does not need any foam... you can even drill a large hole up the pistol grip and then cap it with a nice piece of wood... hollow out the recoil pad too... and then live with the weight... I much prefer a slightly heavier rifle than a real light one... carrying an extra pound is no big deal and it helps in holding for a shot...
