Lithgow are producing these rifles in small numbers so there is a trade off in that the LA101 is supplied with plastic magazines, trigger guards, bolt knob & shroud etc. I've put thousands of rounds through my own un-modified gun and have had zero issues with any of these parts. I use both OEM mags and CZ 5 round metal mags in these rifles.
Like all mid priced 22's, some shoot better than others. My first was about on a par with a 1416DHB I had at the time. The second is very accurate as supplied and my 1710's need to be having a good day to out-shoot it.
Pictured below is the 5 shot group my wife shot from her up-graded LA101 with her first touch of the rifle. I had just put it together, zeroed a Leupold 3-9EFR and she produced that. I've had a number of barrels from the same supplier - All shoot well but this one would do justice to a full on BR rig.
The LA101 receiver is threaded and their "extractor slot" design is somewhat radical.
A few nice after market bits are available in Aus. and these suppliers will usually ship internationally. I know Bob at DIP Products in the US has an LA101 so perhaps he will produce a TG for us one day!
