little AR help needed

O.K. I'am haveing a little problem with the sights on my Armalite upper ,it a 14.5 barrel and the sight I'am using right now is an A.R.M.s#40L.
The windage is cranked hard to the right just to keep it centered at 45yds.
it works ,but its not to pleaseing to the eye.
So, has anybody else had any trouble like this with Armalites ? I though it might just be me ,but my other upper (its a Colt A1,11.5 barrel) is centered nicely.

Sounds like your front sight might be a little missaligned.

My limited but frustrating experience with this was a barrel cant slightly to the left which required drifting the rear sights left.

Put the upper on a flat surface and see if there's a cant to the right.
