Greetings. Have been around guns for a while, but I'm totally new to CGN.

Before moving into Canada I used to be much more into handguns, but with our laws here, I try to avoid frustration as much as I can. Don't have anything against gun ranges, but we get the most fun out of our guns when we take them out into the field. If the law will prevent me from having that fun, I'll avoid frustration and stick mostly to non restricted pieces.

Welcome to the forum and I hear ya loud and clear on the restricted BS.
All my currently owned handguns are in my second residence in New Hampshire for the same reasons you stated above.
I had Canadian owned handguns during my international competition years but when eye sight problems pretty much precluded competitions I legally disposed of all my Canadian pistols and revolvers.
Needless to say poking holes in paper targets got tired quick.
I went the same route with 12X firearms I owned in just about every category including several 12-2 full autos I'd owned since the 1960s and early 70s.
Now I don't own a Canadian firearm that I can't legally take to the bush and hunt and plink with.
