1. I am looking for a Ljungman AG42b barrel. Would appreciate your advice or a reference I can follow up with. Tradeex and Marstar don't have anything in stock. Found some moderately priced in US but that's not helpful.
2. If I find a barrel, I will try to replace the barrel of my Ljungman AG42b and I have no idea what that may entail other than unscrewing the old barrel (compromised) using a regular wrench. After searching for weeks on the Internet I couldn't find any step-by-step instructions on how to disassemble the barrel and impingement tube of this rifle and more importantly how to put it back.
I couldn't find even one book, description or a video that could help me.I am still fighting to unscrew the gas port cap. Unfortunately, the cap's slotted round head is one second away from getting stripped by my screwdriver. Needless to say I have no idea what kind of timing/alignment might be involved and how to align everything prior to shooting it and having the bolt carrier taking half of my face off.
P.S.: I am not a gunsmith or even someone mildly experienced with rifle repairs. I have an engineering background and that allowed me to make a lot of stupid mistakes when trying to repair rifles.
A big thank you in advance to everyone who even bothers to think for more than 30 seconds about my predicament.
