I've been seeing these for sale and I'm kind of intrigued even though my first impulse is to stay away from guns named after giant goats.

Any first hand info regarding parts compatability, reliability, quality?

Do any 9mm 1911 mags work in these?

Anything?

I still have a Llama Commanche revolver I bought 25 years ago. Still works fine.
So they can make good strong guns.
At one time Llama self loaders were not interchangable with 1911a1's. That may have changed now though.

Just don't pretend it's a Colt & you should be fine.... :p

BTW, I believe the magazines are interchangeable with standard 1911's of the same ctg but little or nothing of the other " parts ".....;)

Hee, hee, hee...Giant Goats...good one Patl! :)

I have owned the smaller, "Mini-1911's" before and they were quite nice, and shot well.

It's What leelad shot at the Milshoot on the weekend

Had a bit of trouble with feeding issues didn't he?
My wife used it for her handgun course on the weekend and didn't like it too much ;)

Yeah, the manufactured ammo didn't produce enough energy to fully recoil.
He ended up shooting it as a single.
Shoots fine loaded hot.

IIRC it was a grip issue. The other 9mm that was there was the Nork 226 clone and the trigger pull was a little long for her.
If she gets a chance , she should try Jim's Glock 34. It has a really sweet trigger and a red fibre optic front sight.

Forgot to ask Dave about the mags.Oops! Got distracted by the estate sale stuff!!!
