llama omni 9mm Value

Not to familiar with these any body have an idea of the value.Are they a decent gun

i had one of these years ago, I think
the gun is O.K., BUT the mags are a
piece of C--P, double stack into a
single stack- terrible thing to load,
if cheap -would be o.k. for a plinker-
I would not use as a primary weapon.

A few questions I always ask myself before buying a gun...

-Will it be a shooter, or just an odd safe queen.

If it will be a shooter
- Can I easily find spare parts an extra magazines

If it will be a safe queen
- Is it collectable
- Is the price really low, so that I can sell it later on and not loose $ on it.

Personnaly, I wouldn't buy a Llama unless it was dirt cheap...

I used one back in the 80's. It worked fine; but was nothing special, as has been mentioned replacement mags can be hard to find, even when the gun was new, the owner had to mail-order them from the US.

Seriously, when decent quality, brand new handguns are available in the $350 price range, how much can an orphan like this be worth?
I'm thinking Deckard is a little low, I'd offer $150, plus $10 per good, functioning mag, and I'd want to test them first. And I'd pass on the whole rig if there were less than 5 mags.

The mags were always of low quality. Metal kind of shoddy. The pistol itself reasonably well built.

I have one in 9mm. The gun is ok, but mags are impossible to get now. As someone else said these mags are double stack at the bottom and taper to single stack. Also there is a small take down pin that is easy to lose. Grip feels like holding a wood 2 x 4.

The kindest thing I can say is that it is far better than not having a gun at all.
