Well EE pricing has nothing on that event these guys are very optimistic on non current shotguns . After all that the best buy at the show never sold browning A5 20 ga 3" mag vent rib full choke s few marks but a nice gun could have had it for 700$ . Should have bought IT and put it on EE for $1200-1800$'s . Another missed opertunity

I never understood those shows, went again, not sure why as the same guys with the same inventory, no one ever ends up buying anything as it's all full retail for the most part.

Pack it all there and pack it all home I guess

It is a social event for all the vendors. They get to chat and hang out with their buddies. If you want deals you have to buy a table and do the dealings the day before the show.

Scored a mint Cooey 39 for $120
And about $60 in .22LR mags for $35

Other than that, yeah it was all overpriced mostly. Noone willing to budge even a cent on anything.
Classic Canadian gun show, SKS's ranging from $250 up to $600 lolol
Seen a beat to unholy s**t, rotted out Model 94 from 1917 for around $800 etc etc Ridiculous....

I will say this though, of all the gun shows I have been to on the East coast-ish side of this country, this one had it beat hands down. There was some cool stuff, one guy had a retro olympic arms AR15 upper in 7.62x39mm Some oddball interesting .22LR's for fair prices as well.

This right here. Most of them are not that interested in selling anything, hence the high prices. If you go to enough shows, you will see the same guns repeatedly. I can remember a certain Winchester 94 in 38-55 that had a seriously cropped barrel. I saw it year after year on several different tables for a decade before it disappeared. Gun shows are a social event and a place to see old friends. Once in a while you find a gem of a deal but not often. You do however get to see the latest new rifles and check fit and finish in person. Not all of us live in the big city and are able to get to a gun store.

I used to attend gun shows looking for great deal or oddball products that I could not find elsewhere. Then I just went looking for the oddball items. Now, I don't bother with gun shows at all, as most are just the same dealers with the same products, traveling from show to show.

This, after attending one or two I never went again. Each year I have been here the Lloyd show has fallen on a work weekend for me. I am much further ahead at work, weekends are all OT for me.

i thought it was a great show and i found multiple deals that i would have purchased if i had the spending cash (fully restored einfelds for $700 surely caught my eye) and although it was well beyond my price range seeing a genuine nazi SS uniform was quite cool. I got to talk to harley greene about an upcoming build that i am planning and got to handle a shotgun i had yet to ever see on the canadian market.
i go to gun shows to pick up some odds and ends that i cant find at local stores (if you cant find components at doug rayners table they dosnt exist) and to see odd interesting or cool guns that local vendors never carry. once in a while i may find a odd or obscure gun in my price range and i will buy it. anyone going to a gunshow looking for a specific gun at a specific price is just setting themselves up for disappointment.
people need to realize that the guys at gun shows are not just there for fun they are there to make a few bucks off of new and used firearms.
its business not a charity.

This pretty much sums it up. I have never found a great deal on something that I was specifically looking for. However, I have found awesome deals on firearms and other items that I accidently stumbled upon. Its hit and miss sometimes. But my hits have outweighed my misses more often then not. The way I see it, the cost of admission is fairly small price to pay to be able to walk around and snoop at whats on peoples table. You get to try different firearms for fit that you may not have been able to try elsewhere

Funny how it works. I have tables at a few gun shows. I sometimes sell enough to cover expenses, sometimes a lot more, and, if I buy a few guns, nowhere near enough to cover expenses. I know what the guys are talking about, some dealers ask high prices. Some are quite reasonable. Yes, there is some trading among dealers.

I enjoy meeting people. I had a little milsurp display at the Regina show. Had a barrel of fun. I paid for those tables as well. Didn't sell a nickel's worth on Sunday. One thing the little display (17 rifles) did what shut the supposed experts up, you know, the guys who shadow a newbie and carefully explain how this rifle and that shotgun are no good.

There are lots of goodies at every show. I found an unopened package of Romanian 7.92 ammo from 1943. I had never seen any in all my years of collecting such things. Also found a Savage 99 takedown in 30-30. It was pretty scruffy, so I had Deaner work his magic on it.

I had a table there. I was the guy selling my own unique gun slogan t-shirts. I usually help out another vendor, but this was my first time having my own table, did quite well. I didn't get a chance to check out the others prices, I was too busy selling shirts.
