took the LMT out today to get the cobwebs off and I must say, this rifle is astonishingly accurate (even more so because its an AR).

anyways, quick range report.

conditions: cloudly/rainy 7 degrees with little to almost no wind.

Ammunition: American eagle 308 WIN. 150 grain FMJ boat-tail

Optic: Elcan Spectre DR 1.5-6x 7.62

5 round groups @ 100m

this was pretty much the average grouping on all 5 rounds of shooting (sadly i only took a pic of the one with the flyer), im sure with a more precise optic and handloads i could get this rifle down to 1/4 moa.

the rifle has a bit of weight to it, but it really helps with felt recoil and was great for quick follow up shots.

if anyone out there is considering one of these rifles, i wouldnt hesitate to recommend it.

Much love for the mws here too !
Running it carbine style with an swfa 1-4 keeps me motivated to keep going to the gym :D

Load testing yesterday with a temporarily mounted vortex 4-16.
I'm trying to talk myself into the leupold 1.1-8 with the horus reticle, I feel that if any rifle deserved such a prohibitively expensive optic, this'd be it.

Average 300 yard grouping with 175 grain smk, cci br2, 44 grains of varget at 2.8 oal. Pretty gusty out, but I take credit for most of the horizontal stringing  .
Shoots very nice indeed, certainly better than me.

I wish the rifle wasn't so much of a pig. It's like swinging a pike around.

Ah, that's where the gym time comes in ! :D

All joking aside though, I'm not much slower with the mws than my 18" ar. Wouldn't want to hold it in a high ready position all day at a carbine course or something though.
Then again maybe I'm slow with the ar, ha ! :)

I recently bought the xcr-m and cant wait to buy one of these for the shelf beside it. has anyone used this rifle to 1000m?

Not yet, but will soon.
The xcr-m has a softer recoil impulse, but the build quality and especially the accuracy aren't even on the same planet.
