LMT Bolt for AR - Drop in?

Just picked up a new LMT bolt for the AR 1st aid kit. Question...is there anything I need to know before installing it ? Will it just drop in to the the bolt carrier (Colt LE 6920) or does it need to be fitted by a pro?

The bolt will drop in, but I would strongly advise you headspace it against your existing upper.

99.9% of the time the bolt will drop in no problems - but I would recommend checking it with GO/NO-GO/Field Headspace guages

:beerchug: Thanks guys, i'll get it checked out. What is the worst case scenario with a headspace problem in a Mil-Spec AR...FTF or Kaboom?

FTFire (it will still feed - but may not lock unlikely)/FTE

*I have shot a number of AR's and M4's with swapped bolts that where not headspaced -- inc swapping into C8SFW's from C8 or C7A2's

The only issue I have ever had was a bolt that would not lock fully in a custom barrel
